I\'ve had Pendred\'s for 48 yrs. I wear 2 hearing aids for moderate hearing loss and take thyroxine daily. Pendred\'s was only diagnosed when I was 5 yrs old as I was very poorly developed -not speaking, stunted growth etc. I am now mother to two lovel

Our children were diagnosed with Pendred Syndrome in 2000 after MR scan confirmed enlarged vestibular and they had an abnormal discharge test. They suffer 'vertigo' attacks which results in further hearing loss. But this can return if they are kept very

Naomi was born deaf, visually impaired and with what appeared to be a spina bifida occulta. She has daily pain and we now know hydromyelia, chiari malformation and pendred syndrome.

My 7 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with Pendred's Syndrome. She has major hearing loss in her left ear. We received the diagnosis yesterday (Feb 08) and she has been fitted for a hearing aid. I have no idea yet of any other complications.
